Concetta Antico is an Australian born, critically acclaimed artist. Working between Sydney and Los Angeles, Concetta paints original works that unite nature and science through a style of kaleidoscopic color and brushwork.
Concetta’s work has been chronicled extensively and has attracted a large audience worldwide. Her paintings have appeared in many publications and broadcast media including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, VOGUE, BBC, VOGUE and The Guardian.
Concetta is a Tetrachromatic artist. Tetrachromacy is an extremely rare condition created by a genetic mutation that creates ‘super vision’. Tetrachromats have four types of cones in their eyes (most humans have three), which allows them to perceive up to 100 million more colors than the average person. Having super color vision has enhanced Concetta’s artwork, allowing her to use color in a manner that makes her work more dynamic. At this time Concetta is the world’s only known Tetrachromatic artist, making her paintings highly collectible and rare.

Concetta Antico works with FEDEX. Once you have chosen and secured your painting and provided a delivery address we will work on obtaining your shipment, immediately and will notify you of your tracking information within 72 hours. ( See rates based on location and size).
How long will it take to receive my painting?

“As a tetrachromat, I do not merely see a peacock; I witness a supernova of iridescent color—a blinding, narcissistic display of teal, amethyst, electric blue, and magenta that shatters the light. In this piece, he is the Beast: overwhelming, flamboyant, and demanding total visual dominion. His beauty is a weapon, a chaotic, swirling spectacle that I have captured using a limited palette of only two primary colors to represent the overwhelming, almost blinding force of his narcissism.
Conversely, the female lynx represents the quiet, Demure Beauty. She is not competing with the flamboyant display; she is watching it. Her form is painted with a softer, almost muted intensity, offering a visual sigh against the peacock’s chaotic feathers. She is the grounding force, the quiet power that understands that true majesty does not need to shout.
In this painting, I explore the tension between the self-obsessed and the self-assured. I invite the viewer to look beyond the obvious colors of the natural world and see the nuanced, sometimes unsettling, conversations between nature’s most stunning creatures.
