How has oil painting changed my life? To have a teacher like Concetta has been a blessing. She has instructed me for approximately eight years in the techniques of oil painting, from composition, to color, to value and everything in between. Concetta holds nothing back from her students.

To take a blank canvas and create a painting from the outline, to the underpainting, to the finished work is truly amazing! Because of painting, I see so much more of nature and color and value. The other day I actually studied in detail a beautiful tiny bird feather.

The process of oil painting takes me away. It is as if I am in a protective cocoon while painting, away from all the cares of the world. And when I do "come to" I have a work in progress or a finished piece of art.

I am passionate about oil painting and with Concetta's expertise in teaching and her unbelievable gift of color and artistic abilities, I have paintings that my children, co-workers, and family ask for and appreciate receiving as gifts. My home if filled with my art work as well as many of Concetta's beautiful masterpieces.

To sum it up in three words – JOY! JOY! JOY! The joy of learning, the joy of creating, and the joy of giving!  It does not get much better than this!
