I’ll be honest, like so many of us these last co $I’ll be honest, like so many of us these last couple of years have been so challenging. To start, the seemingly endless waves of covid have affected so many people I know and love. Loss of finances. Loss of work. Loss of people’s homes. And for me, my greatest pain, was the loss of the health of my first child to permanent brain injury in 2020. The challenges were enormous, I know first hand. Sometimes the hardest part is watching, and not being able to help, but wanting to. Sometimes it is knowing no-one can help, even if they wanted to. We know that everyone is on their own journey, and life throws us the curve balls to help us learn in our own ways. Sometimes help is not what is needed, as the lesson becomes a gift through hardship. This is what tests our metal, and can make us more powerful than we were before, or than we ever thought we could be... We all internalize stress differently, for me, it sapped my creativity completely making it impossible for me to paint for almost three years. It took my life blood, and my spirit. Grief crushes the soul. So my advice is to try very hard to remember your happy place, and strive to find it again. Work with all you have inside to renew it. At times I lost touch with the woman I know I am …but now time has healed some pain and the dust has settled, I feel like I can find myself again and my indomitable energy. You cannot hold onto sadness, it will destroy you and benefits no-one, but you can grow upward from it. You can fully commit to yourself again, as I have done this year. Committing to my joy, and my art as the #1 things I need to go on! With a new location, (moving back to my native roots in Sydney, Australia), a new gallery on Queen Street, Woollahra, (the town I grew up in and spent so much time as a child with my Mother and Father), and now, just last week, a new working studio on Glenmore Road in Paddington - YES - I’m all in! \#artist #art #artistjournal #sydneyartist #artistofinstagram #SydneyNSW #australianartist #americanartist #sydneychildhood #sydneygallery #artistinsydney #queenstreet$

I’m obsessed with the stars, the sky, and everyt $I’m obsessed with the stars, the sky, and everything in the heavens. I just look at these awe inspiring photos from NASA and they overwhelm me. They say that astronauts who leave the earth and look down on this swirling blue ball of beauty are deeply moved. We are so small in the grand scheme of the vast universe. In truth, as custodians we need to care for our planet so much more, and not just the earth, but also all creatures and of course, each other. This is the significant part of why my upcoming show in Sydney is titled “Otherworldly”. I want to be like an astronaut, transported away and into the stars, and I’d love for you to join me there.
