Concetta’s Journal – August

SIGH. Our days are OH SO long during these ongoing lockdown times.
 
So often we are finding ourselves in the mundane of morning. Or rote in our daily routes and routines. We long for different. For change. For travel…or simply a new view.
 
We are confined, or so we believe. But are we really?

Have we forgotten our other realm? Have we not considered that the other aspect of our space IS space? 

Night is the daily forgotten view we own, which is completely removed from the “four walls” of our daytime.We forget it’s free, available, and is, well..,  amazing. So just as the stars come out at night…ah, then so should we. To see them in all their sparkling glory!

Mesmerized under the moonlight, or cloistered in the darkness of a mottled cloud cover, we can find an entirely other place to escape to, to explore. An infiniteness, far beyond our imagination, grandstanding above our heads. A supernatural sensory delight called Night!

As you are an earth dweller, you can now begin to become an astral voyager! Be eager to see the twinkle and the stardust that will surely entrance you each night, creating a new and varied kingdom of wonder. Begin to embrace the black canopy of the cosmos which so often escapes you when you sleep. How many nights of fantasy and fascination have you missed in your life? Ask yourself.

How often have you studied the world above and beyond, the place you rest under daily, yet rarely explore as it slips by right above you. How often do you wander past the witching hour? Truly, there is another world where magic reigns, if you stay awake long enough to see it.

Ever catch a glimpse of a falling star? Or witnessed the blue of Venus, or the red of Mars? Did you discern that stars twinkle and planets don’t? Have you found the Big Dipper or The Pot? Have you marvelled at The Milky Way? Have you witnessed all the fabulous phases of the moon? Did you know that the universe will never again be as close to you as it is the night you see it? That it gets farther away, every day? 

If these machinations are not yours, then it is time to explore the dark side of your existence. Time to create a new space, in outer-space. Enhance your vision beyond the ordinary of day, to the extraordinary of night. Breathe in the moonlight, bathe in its glow.  Become astronomers and astrologers and enter the vastness of infinity and beyond. Now, more than ever in our currently confined lives, must we venture out past our slumbering time to the Neverland of Night. We must be like stars, we must come out at night.

 Buy a telescope, stay awake all night, camp outdoors, and realise there is a world out there far beyond anything you have ever experienced. The nothingness which holds every universal mystery.

So tonight, venture beyond the veil, awake to the mystical darkness that beckons us to see more.  Do this and you will live more, create more, and experience more of The Night behind The Light…
